Very comfortable, the house is full of light and the decor and tasteful furniture plus a few lovely extra touches adds to the ambiance.
It was a refreshing holiday.
First the negatives.
There was no mirror in the double bedroom (sorry it is a pet hate of mine), although there was one just outside in the hallway, with a convenient socket, but this meant drying my hair in the hall We found the king-size bed a little hard for us,vendee up with sore hips, maybe a mattress topper would solve this quite easily. Having said that, everything else was lovely. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very welcoming. It was down a lovely quiet lane, so peaceful. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful with lots to see and do within close proximity. We particularly enjoyed the Hook peninsula and all the lovely little coves and beaches, the famine ship in New Ross and we had a great meal at The Strand Tavern in Duncannon.
Lane Cottage was, by far.
the most comfortable place we have ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, well appointed with plenty of pots, pans and cutlery. There were even sharp kitchen knives. The chairs in both lounges were extremely comfortable, as were the beds. We were sad to leave. The only criticism I have is that the location instructions were a little vague but we did find it in the end. So, all in all, a lovely cottage and we thoroughly recommend it.
