Don't forget all of the watersports opportunities nearby as well, from sailing to white water rafting, there's fun for all the family, there's also horse riding at the nearby Cooley Equestrian Centre for horse lovers.

The Cooley Cross and Skull House are a must-see destination when visiting this corner of Ireland, close to picturesque shore walks and close to a range of beaches.

Make sure to journey over to the renowned fishing port of Greencastle and book a table at the award-winning Kealy’s Seafood Bar, sampling their tasty locally-sourced seafood, take the scenic Lough Foyle Ferry boat, where you can experience both the Causeway Coastal Route and Wild Atlantic Way over to Magilligan Point.

Further afield, you can visit Derry/Londonderry, a bustling city with heaps of culture such as a cathedral, Guildhall, and museum, as well as vibrant city life at local bars, live music venues, and unique art exhibits around Free Derry Corner.

This charming coastal town is the first on the Wild Atlantic Way and is set on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal. There are beautiful views out across shores of Lough Foyle to Norther Ireland which can be enjoyed from the village green which offers walking trails along the coast, a playground and bandstands in the Victorian style. Moville has many sailing events throughout the year and you can always have a go at one of the many watersports on offer, including kayaking and canoeing. Visit the Cooley Cross and Skull House to see the town’s history and two miles from here is the Cooley Equestrian Centre where horseriding lessons are available. Greencastle is great for fishing, while Greencastle Golf Club is just 1 mile away and offers 18 holes surrounded by beautiful scenery. Dine out in style in Greencastle, at the award-winning Kealy’s Seafood Bar and enjoy a pint in one of the local pubs. There are lots of areas around Lough Foyle to explore, and there’s even the famous lighthouse at Inishowen Head to enjoy.
