Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, where you can dine in when you’re not exploring the delicious eateries of the local area, or double it up as a place to play board games for a quiet evening in.

The open-plan living space also benefits from a reading area, tucked away in a quiet corner in the room and looking out to sea, it’s a truly scenic spot to catch up on your reading.

To the front of the cottage you can find a lawned area where your canine companions can stretch their legs ready for a day of paddling and sun soaking, but be sure to grab your watersporting essentials with you and store them in the shed to the back of the dwelling.

Within walking distance, you can find a selection of shops, eateries, a golf course and an all-important beach, guaranteed to bring hours of fun to all of the family.

Also within walking distance, are the Downhill House ruins and forest, as well as Castlerock train station.

Explore the nearby National Trust of Downhill Demesne, home to the Mussenden Temple and beach, with a lovely wooded area, it makes for a brilliant day trip, or venture over to Hazlett House for its great food and fun children's activities especially at Christmas.

Take the train from Castlerock station and head to Coleraine or beyond in the East, or to Londonderry in the West, while enjoying the stunning coastal views on your journey.

In addition to being in easy reach of Coleraine, Ballymoney and Ballycastle, the famous natural & historical treasure that is the Giant's Causeway is but a mere 20 minute drive away.

A beautiful seaside village in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland, arguably one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Castlerock boasts great history as well as many claims to fame, including the Mussenden Temple that features in Game of Thrones as well as the place being the inspiration for many of C.S Lewis' novels including the famous The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. As well as some of the most-photographed spots in Northern Ireland, Castlerock has a lot to offer in terms of amenities and activities. There is the Hill Farm Riding Centre, Finvoy Fun Farm, Castlerock Golf Course and a beautiful sandy beach to provide something for all weathers and all people. The Royal Portrush Golf Club is in close proximity, not to mention the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Giant's Causeway is a short drive to the west. Belfast is only an hour away in the car. The village offers two coffee shops, home bakery and a small supermarket as well as a butchers, chemist and beauty salon. The popular town of Coleraine is a short drive away and is definitely worth a visit with so much to offer, Portstewart and Portrush are also within easy reach should you want a more high-energy break.The county city of Londonderry is under 30 miles away and is one of the most exciting places in the country.
