The property

This superb detached property boasts views of Glenmore River and Kenmare Bay, a mile from the village of Lauragh, on the Beara Peninsula and Wild Atlantic Way, in County Kerry.

This light and airy holiday home provides an excellent base for exploring this part of the Emerald Isle.

All of the bedrooms have views of the bay, with one of these on the ground floor, plus there?s a bathroom downstairs and a shower room on the first floor.

You?re assured of a good night?s sleep whatever bedroom you choose during your time here.

The living area in this lovely cottage consists of a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a sitting area, where you will find a warming solid fuel stove, which is ideal to relax in front of, whilst you plan what you wish to see or do during your Irish adventure.

There?s also a conservatory you can enjoy a morning coffee in, or step outside and spend time in the lawned garden, which is an ideal place to unwind with a cold drink and a spot of alfresco dining during the summer months.

The 121 mile Ring of Beara has great walks, beaches and scenery, and within reach is the town of Kenmare, which offers visitors a number of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, along with farmers?

markets, galleries and boutiques.

Close by is the Star Outdoors Adventure Centre, where you will find a range of land and water activities, including mountain bike tracks, crazy golf, archery and paintball.

Also within driving distance are Killarney and its National Park and the beautiful Ring of Kerry.

A delightful holiday home for families and friends with much to see in the area.

The quiet village of Lauragh is located in the beautiful Beara peninsula.  It rests in the heart of the spectacular Caha Mountains, on the sea front of Kenmare bay. The village offers a small church, 2 restaurants (one less than a ten minute walk from the house) and Helen's Bar, 3 miles from the house.  Helen’s bar is located on small pier with beautiful views out to Kenmare bay and serves fresh mussels straight from the pier and local sea food.The area offers fantastic scenic locations, including sea, lakes,rivers and woodland walks that you can explore. It  boasts some of the most breathtaking,unspoilt scenery in Europe, and is home to the beautiful Dereen Gardens, A beautiful 19th century woodland garden with paths winding through rare tropical plants and opening onto sea views. 
The nearest town, Kenmare is located 15 miles from the house.  Its characterful, winding streets proudly present a wide choice of gourmet restaurants, quaint shops, fabulous art galleries and welcoming inns. Enjoy the seaside village of Glengarriff; with its rugged, mountainous landscape, it offers numerous scenic drives, and is an artist’s paradise. Visit the fabulous town of Killarney, renowned for its colourful festivals and home to an amazing National Park. Discover the internationally recognised Ring of Kerry and the rugged Ring of Beara, or take a drive to the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. A fabulous location, not to be missed!
