A lovely thoughtful welcome hamper on arrival including doggie treats! Thank you Denise! The location is stunning and we enjoyed daily walks (and a September swim) on the beach and Denise gave me some very useful tips about the beach and surrounding facilities on a phone call. We spent a few of our days exploring the beautiful county of Cork and the house was a peaceful haven to return to after busy days out and about. The kitchen is a fairly small space but well equipped and we were lucky enough to be able to eat outside at the large outdoor table (there were 6 of us). The beds were very comfortable and the living room was the perfect space for many a board game in the evenings… Thank you very much Denise! We shall definitely be sharing your house as a top spot to stay in County Cork!
- Joanna, August 2024Thank you so much for your wonderful review Joanna. It was a pleasure to have you in Seagaze.! Property Owner

Simon “Great location, very quiet and lovely to walk to the end of the road and be on the beach, we walked on the beach every day and the dog loved it.”
Owners were very helpful and left a few goodies which were appreciated. Only thing we found was the kitchen was a little small with not much storage space for food or cooking and no dishwasher but we eat out quite a bit and didn't spoil the holiday. We had a lovely time.
- Simon, June 2024Rachel “House is perfect, had everything we needed and more!”
. Really nice secure garden for kids & dog to play in. Beautiful location, right beside the beach. Lovely views & walks in all directions.
- Rachel, May 2024Michelle “We had a lovely stay at Seagaze in April.”
The house was very clean and all beds were made and towels provided. The host left us a generous pack of welcome goodies. Seagaze is in a great location for visiting many tourist attractions within about 30-40 minutes drive. Our kids especially enjoyed visiting Leahy's open farm, Fota wildlife park, Spike island (departure from Cobh) and the Titanic experience museum. Other days we just stayed local, e.g. there are lots of lovely second-hand shops in Youghal so the kids stocked up on books and we went for a lovely meal of fish and chips at The Quays in Youghal. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
- Michelle, April 2024John “The property was exactly as described comfortable and well equipped.”
Denise was easily contactable and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
- John, February 2024Sarah “Seagaze is a cosy and comfortable home, even in stormy weather!”
It is located a very short walk from the beach which has beautiful walks, a huge variety of birds and endless walks. Our dog was very relaxed there and loved the spacious back garden too. The house provided all we needed for our stay. Thank you for a great short break.
- Sarah, January 2024Claire “Our second time visiting Seagaze, would highly recommend.”
Denise very helpful and a beautiful place to stay. We'll be back
- Claire, January 2024Rita “Beautiful comfortable + clean 'home from home'.”
Lovely enclosed back garden for our dog. Welcome basket was such a lovely touch after such a long journey from the UK. Everything we needed was there. Denise is lovely to deal with. The only thing that could have caused us a problem was that the barrier on the way in is limited to 2 metres- luckily we hadn't brought our roof box. Electricity went off for 14 hrs but that wasn't anyones fault. Already booked for next year as loved it there just by the sea.
- Rita, August 2023Esther “Lovely property, private and quiet area, loads of thoughtful games and books provided by the owner, who was very prompt and very nice to deal with.”
Lovely for a quiet getaway.
- Esther, August 2023Eilis “The house is in a lovely quiet estate and right on the beach .”
We enjoyed stunning sunrises and could watch the moons reflection on the sea, beautiful. Lovely sized back garden with picnic bench. The bedrooms were spacious and the sitting room large. We found the kitchen small. Quick drive into Killeagh or Youghal for shops/eat out . The boardwalk starts at the Quality Hotel which is a short drive (or a walk along the beach) to get to & is a lovely stroll. Lovely swimming pool near by for the kids also. They are currently working on a greenway walk which won’t be too far from the house also (easy to access on bikes from the house) Denise left a lovely welcome hamper which was a nice touch. She was very friendly and easy to contact.
- Eilis, April 2023Kim “We had an amazing stay here , the house is stunning.”

Catherine “Seagaze was an absolutely idyllic location.”
My sister and I spent a week in this beautiful beach house in December. It was perfect, Denise the owner had lights, heat and a beautiful Christmas tree on for our arrival. There was a very thoughtful and delicious gift basket on arrival, milk in the fridge so very thoughtful. I have a yorkie and he was at home in this lovely house. The back garden was perfect to let him out as totally enclosed. We could see and hear the Ocean from the living room, kitchen and bedrooms. What a view every morning. This was a perfect location for what we requested, house walking distance to beach. It was minutes walk to beach. We walked the beach every day and throughly enjoyed our stay In this beautifully located home. There were 4 super sized rooms ideal for family stays. Thanks Denise, hopefully we will be back again soon.
- Catherine, December 2021Thank you, Catherine, I'm delighted you enjoyed it, hopefully, you will be back! Property Owner

- Rafael, December 2020Jane “Seagaze cottage is situated in a lovely spot.”
Close to the beach and great views of the sea. Youghal is not far away where you will find a beautiful strand. Plenty of shops also in Youghal etc. We had a really great time in East Cork. Waterford is an hour away by car and well worth a visit. We were spoilt for choice for beaches. Denise is a lovely host and the cottage was very comfortable.
- Jane, September 2020Heather “Lovely comfortable house, very peaceful location.”
Great for our dog, enclosed garden and beach 3 mins from house. Owner is lovely and communication is good. Already booked to stay again.
- Heather, August 2020Nial “Seagaze property is in a lovely location, about an 8 minute drive from Youghal and a lot of places to visit within a 30 to 50 minute drive.”
The sea and nice beach walks are right beside it.
- Nial, August 2020Richard “Lovely place to stay in a beautiful safe location right beside the beach.”
Denise was great and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
- Richard, July 2020Amanda “We really enjoyed our stay at Seagaze!”
It had everything that we needed as well as being clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner Denise was very helpful and filled us in on everything we needed to know the day beforehand on the phone! We travelled with our dog and the enclosed garden was perfect and the short walk to the beach was an added bonus!! We already can't wait to return and would highly recommend this property!
- Amanda, March 2020Nicole “This is an excellent place to stay.”
Right on the sea and great for walks. I was here for work and this was a great location for me, only 40 minutes from Cork. The property is 5 minutes from Youghal and ideal as a base for sightseeing. The owner is great with communication and ever so helpful and help was also at hand if required from one of the neighbours. The welcome pack was a really nice touch.
- Nicole, November 2019Irena “My partner and I had a wonderful 3-weeks stay at Seagaze!”
Our two dogs loved the garden and long walks by the beach. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, has everything you might need during your vacation. Highly recommended!
- Irena, October 2019Mary “We had a lovely holiday great location, was lovely to walk the dogs on the beach every morning.”
Cottage was very comfortable and is in the perfect setting. We will be back loved it
- Mary, July 2019Ronald “The key holder was wonderful she bought a welcome pack and was so helpful about the area and suggestions for days out, the house is spacious and well equipped and the garden is lovely on warm days, if you visited as a big party the kitchen might feel a little cramped but with so many fantastic resonable restaurants in the area why cook, point of note the access road has a height bar of 2metres which is about the height of a big 4x4 so roof boxes might be a problem and youghal is shut on Sunday although unlike the UK, supermarkets are open till 9pm.”
Have already recommended this cottage to a family member looking for a holiday.
- Ronald, May 2019Paddy “We were greeted by Denise our host on arrival.”
She was very helpful with local information and where to visit. The house was very spacious and well equipped. Beach on the doorstep.. Youghal is an interesing town to visit and explore. Would highly reccommend Seagaze.

They where so lovey made us very welcome in to they best holday we had a very long time going to book again very soon they are very kind and have a very good heart bless them
- Mary, November 2018Carole “The most superior garden we ever had which meant we could relax when our dogs were outside.”
The house was very clean and comfortable with close access to the beach. Having Wi-Fi was really handy. All in all a great property.
- Carole, August 2018Shirley “We had a little difficulty in finding the house, but once we were there we found the owner to be very friendly and welcoming.”
The house is well equipped and extremely comfortable, but one minor problem is the size of the kitchen, which is rather small compared to the rest of the property. Also the proximity of the house to the beach was a real bonus, and if you are looking for a relaxing holiday it is ideal, close enough to the town of Youghal for all amenities, but a quiet and relaxed location. Mrs. Roche the owner excelled herself when she located where our ancestors had lived in Cork city. She accessed this information from the Irish census and we managed to go and see the location for ourselves, which made our holiday extra special. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property and would be more than happy to stay there again.
- Shirley, June 2018Rory “The rooms were great - All were spacious.”
The whole house was spotless. The estate was secured with automatic gates - great for the kids. There were some essentials in the house when we arrived (e.g. fresh milk). Haven't got a bad thing to say about the booking(if only the weather for the weekend was as good!). The owner was also very polite & helpful.
- Rory, March 2018R “Beautiful location lovely house the o my Down side the size of kitchen and the slight problem with kitchen sink .”
Otner than that it was wonderful. Dog friendly garden very secure
- R, January 2018Nicola “Good location, on the beach, lots of space in the house for us and an enclosed garden for the dog.”
Enjoyed our week here.
- Nicola, July 2017Sue “WONDERFUL HOUSE IN A GEAT LOCATION .”
AND OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL.
