The property

Miltown Malbay 1.2 miles.

Tucked away on the outskirts of the pint-sized town of Miltown Malbay, in County Clare, rests this delightful single-storey holiday home, Mullagh Road.

Nestled within the rural countryside of Ireland and boasting a warm and welcoming interior, Mullagh Road is a lovely base for both families and friends alike looking for an escape from reality.

A spacious driveway greets you at the foot of this charming holiday home, delightfully decorated in a vibrant colouring, enticing you to step over the threshold and discover more of the delights.

Kick off your shoes as you enter into the hallway and make your way through to the adjoining sitting room, home to a sumptuous sofa and a group of armchairs lovingly gathered in front of the warming electric fire; a lovely spot to enjoy a moment of peace as you let the television do the entertaining.

When stomach’s start to rumble, follow the corridor through to the well-equipped kitchen/diner tucked away at the rear of the bungalow; here you can utilise the electric oven and hob to rustle up some tasty treats before loading the dishwasher to tidy up.

In the warmer months, take your dining experience outdoors with a leisurely seat on the rear patio, where you can toast a crisp glass of wine as you indulge, recounting the day's adventures into the late evening.

Escape the excitement and head back indoors to discover the second sitting room, where you can nestle into an armchair as you delve into the pages of a good book, gently warming your toes with the glow of the open fire, or enjoy a movie marathon courtesy of the TV.

As the evening draws to a close, jump in the shower to wash away the day before retiring to one of four thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, with the choice between snuggling up under the covers in either of the three double rooms, or dozing off in the twin room.

A short drive will bring you to the town of Miltown Malbay, where you can find several pubs, including Cogan's Bar which serves great local food, along with eateries and local shops.

For a day filled with fun by the sea, venture to the village of Spanish Point, where an extensive beach and beachfront golf club await.

Travel further afield to Lahinch, where you can stop for a bite to eat at any of the local restaurants and bars before surfing along the shores of Lahinch Beach with Lahinch Surf School, and embarking on a putting tournament at Lahinch Golf Club.

There is more fun waiting to be had in this stunning part of Ireland, with plenty of picturesque settlements and fishing villages dotted along the western coast.

Treat the whole family to an unforgettable retreat with a stay at Mullagh Road.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of €300.
