“Absolutely beautiful cottage in a wonderful location.”

We really enjoyed our stay here and Finbarr was so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Lots to do nearby and this cottage is such an amazing base to explore the beauty of County Clare. Would highly recommend visiting in November too, so quiet and peaceful! Would love to stay again in this beautiful cottage.

The property

This detached cottage sits on the edge of Spanish Point, a seaside village popular with visitors to the gorgeous coastline of County Clare.

Offering a winning combination of original features, such as flagstone flooring and an open fire, and a bight welcoming feel, this cottage is ideal for a family or friends looking to spend time near this famously beautiful coastline.

The cottage suits visitors for both summer and winter holidays, with an open fire in one sitting room, a woodburner in the other and a Kensington range in the kitchen, and a sunny patio area and lawned garden for summer guests.

Large windows let the light flood into the more modern part, with the traditional part offering a cosy feel.

Head to the Cliffs of Moher to take in this natural spectacle, or to Lahinch to try surfing, or to Doolin, to enjoy traditional Irish music with a pint of Guiness.

A very welcoming cottage for all seasons.

About the location

SPANISH POINT, COUNTY CLARE

Miltown Malbay 1.5 miles; Ennis 20 miles.

The village of Spanish Point is situated on the west coast of County Clare in Ireland and takes its name from the Spanish who died there in 1588, when many ships of the Spanish Armada were wrecked during the stormy weather. Today the village consists of many holiday homes, two fine hotels, a lovely beach, which is popular for swimmers and surfers alike, and a nine-hole golf course, which is one of the oldest courses in Ireland and offers wonderful views of the rugged coastline. The small town of Miltown Malbay is 1.5 miles away, offering a selection of shops and pubs, while the seaside town of Lahinch is also close by, offering great surfing opportunities. Visit the Cliffs of Moher, north of Lahinch and also Doolin, which offer superb views of the North Atlantic and the Aran Islands in clear weather, or travel further afield to Clare's County town of Ennis, which boasts unusual shops, bars, restaurants and a lively Irish music scene.
